Famed child actress, Keisha Knight Pulliam of the hit NBC show, The Cosby’s appeared on the Wendy Williams show earlier today to dish on her immediate firing on Donald Trump’s Celebrity Apprentice Show , her charity organization ‘KampKizzy’ and she also weighed in her thoughts on the Bill Cosby scandal.
During last night premiere show of Celebrity Apprentice, Pulliam [who was team captain of the first task] , and was the first to be terminated after her team failed to raise the most funds. Pulliam’s firing raised many eyebrows on social media despite Trump’s gesture to award Pulliam’s non-profit organization with 25k of his personal funds. Pulliam was ‘thrown under the bus’ by her tv cast mate Kenya Moore, for not reaching out to her former tv dad, Bill Cosby for contribution to the team’s fundraiser.
As Pulliam explains her decision on the show [which was taped back in March of 2013] “She will not lose her integrity for 15 minutes of fame”.
” I did what I felt in my heart was right, and I will do it the same way again. And the thing that people don’t realize is that are alot of other resources and I had other checks coming in but you have to have secured funds, and there were things in the way.
There was a storm coming up the east coast, we had a day’s turn-around, it was really crazy. So, there were other people that I tapped into, and I was hoping and expecting people to get more than I did, and the numbers were incorrect. I had one check for $7,000″ and I actually brought in close to 10,000, and we had two people who brought in ZERO dollars for a fundraiser.
On Bill Cosby Recent Rape Allegations:
” Honestly, that’s not the man I know, says Pulliam. The man I know has done a tremendous amount for colleges, things, in endowments, and giving money for so many to people could go to school. And, even what he did in Revolution, the revolution he’d done in television. With the Cosby’s, we were the first family, no matter what race, religion what have you, you saw yourself in. We saw how much more likely we were then and different, and again they’re allegations”
Wendy then asks: So everything on the set seemed copasetic to you?
” I don’t have a different story to tell. The man that I know and love, is the man that I described. “
On The Rumors Of The Cosby’s Show Re-Run’s Being Pulled Off Air:
” I feel that right now, that’s its the heat of what’s happening. I hope that people won’t allow allegations, because again none of us were there and there’s two sides a story, and we are in America, and it is innocent until proven guilty in the court of law. So whatever they do,… it’s a horrible situation however you slice it, but I feel that once the dust settles people will recognize what’s he’s given to our society, because you can’t take that away. “
Keshia also explains that she was far from shock from Kenya Moore’s willingness to call her out on the Apprentice show:
” I wasn’t shock, my integrity and character as a woman, I am not compromising that for 15 minutes of fame.”
