On The New Album “MasterMind”:

” It’s that time.. It’s one of those special album. I usually drop an album every year and this was the first time where I actually spent a year and half in the lab just cooking up. I made some dope records and I’m ready for this to really hit the streets and I’m ready for everybody to feel this energy.”

On The Album Being Pushed Back From The December Release:

” I wasn’t ready, I still had mixing to do but it was good to see the excitement. You know alot of times date changes be for different reasons. Some people may not have excitement around the album or some people may have judge the wrong timing, or some people may have change the date like for instance if your negotiating a deal for another project] … you may want to put the album out around that time so you can create the excitement  and that may increase the value of it all. ” But I wasn’t ready yet and I was still recording. ”

On The New Songs In The Album:

” I wanted make sure I made records like “NOBODY” featuring French Montana and so on and so forth. I paid alot of homage to the homie [The Notorious BIG] and I just spit on it. “

” The overall feel of it [the album] is that passion in Rick Ross music, that aggressive Rick Ross. This album is alot more faster than my previous ones. So this one if for all my day one Rick Ross fans who been listening to me since 2004. So for me its definitely more tempo the topic are more fast-paced, and in my opinion this is my best work. “

On What He Attributes His Music To:

” I attribute it most to meeting being fans of some of the most dopest emcee’s of all time and I really just trying my best to hold myself to certain standards.”

” When it comes to production, I like to blend my southern vibe with tempos that match my word play and that’s what makes my style unique and I try to keep that. So when you see me kick my libsrchi mode – that’s when I want to put twenty bottles in the air…so I just made sure that on this album its best of both worlds.”

On Ending The Beef  With Jeezy & Collaborating On A New Record:

” It basically just came down to me and Jeezy, we ran into each other and we just BOSS-ED Up. At the of the day we ever stepped on each other toes, we never spilled blood, and never lost any money. so it was pretty cool to put that behind us and get some money. Let’s do it for the culture and do it for the south. It’s alot of bigger things going on. “

MasterMind‘ is available now on itunes for pre-order.
