Gloria first made her public announcement of her break up with Matt Barnes on twitter
Gloria Govan recently spoke with VH1 on her break up with basketball player Matt Barnes during the taping of Basketball Wives L.A. reunion show earlier this week. Gloria says:
“I’m happy with where I am now”…”It hasn’t been an easy ride moving across the country twice, having kids at 21 when I just graduated college; it hasn’t been easy,” Gloria said, adding that the pressure of the NBA lockout has also been a huge stress on her former fiancé. “But we’re still friends and we’re still working things out and I wish him nothing but the best.”
Gloria’s sister Laura Govan also weighed in on the discussion saying:
“Gloria and Matt could still wind up together. My whole family is rooting for that man. I swear. They would pick him over me,” Gloria said. The reality TV star said that she is using the time to focus on herself, but she’s not ruling out the possibility of reconciliation. “We’ll see. I’m not going to say never. I’m optimistic, but for now…we’re going our separate ways. But if our paths cross again it’s meant to be.”
Gloria says she is not interesting in dating at this time. Watch out Matt. Gloria is now an eligible bachelor. I guess will see what happens on Season 2.
