Adele

Media outlets in the U.K. and the U.S. was in a frenzy after reports leaked out that singer, Adele would have to undergo “throat surgery” to repair her vocal chords. A few months ago, Adele suffered a hemmorrhage in her vocal chords, plaguing her health and ability to sing causing the singer to cancel her US tour. Adele provided an apology to her fans site:

“Singing is literally my life, it’s my hobby, my love, my freedom and now my job. I have absolutely no choice but to recuperate properly and fully, or I risk damaging my voice forever,”

Now reports have confirmed that the ‘Someone Like You’ singer will have to undergo surgery, her concerts in the UK have now been cancelled. Thus far, six shows in Wolverhampton, Blackpool, Bournemouth, Cardiff and Plymouth have been cancelled as well her live show appearances. Adele’s doctor said:

“She is to undergo surgery to alleviate the current issues with her throat and a full recovery is expected. As a result, doctors have ordered her to rest her voice and completely recuperate before looking to schedule any work commitments.”

Many people are also speaking out openly about Adele’s notorious smoking habit which many believe has largely contributed to the her throat injury. The singer has been very public with her smoking habit and her enjoyment from it.

Let’s hope that she will re-evaluate her recreational hobby after her surgery. In support of Adele we bring you one of her most memorable performance of her song ‘Turning Tables’ on the David Letterman show in NYC.
