At least some stories have good endings!
Common and Drake have been going at each other for several months now. Rumors quickly surfaced that the beef spiralled after Drake began dating Serena Williams who was in a previous long-term relationship with rapper Common’s for nearly two years.
Both artists recorded diss tracks to one another after Common took it one step further and called drake a “Sweet Rapper”. Common later stated that the song was done prior to his beef but hinted that if Drake fits the shoe then clearly he needs to own it as well.
Last month during an magazine interview Drake stated that he was no longer taking shots at the “rap legend” as he would like to uphold the integrity of hip-hop. Well, Drake and Common kept to their words. The two were spotted having whats appears to be a friendly verbal encounter during the 2012 NBA All-star weekend event. No word on what was said or who initiated contact first but it’s good to see these grown men acting their age and sweeping their petty riff under the rug.
