New reports have confirmed that Swizz Beatz is not the CEO of MegaUpload.com, one of the largest file sharing website that was indicted last week for racketeering conspiracy, copyright infringement, and raking in nearly 75 million dollars in sales.
Attorney Ira Rothken of Megaupload.com revealed to RollingStone.com that Swizz was in talks of becoming the Chief Exec of the website but a decision was not yet made. “He was negotiating to become the CEO, but it was never official. Beatz “was never involved in any meaningful way” with Megaupload.com” said Rothken.
However, Swizz Beatz is not off the hook completely!
The feds are not full convinced and have issued a warrant to question the producer whom they believe is responsible for rallying celebrity friends Jamie Fox, Flloyd Mayweather, Kanye West, Serena Williams, and Macy Gray in MegaUpload’s latest commercial.
Swizz along with his attorney is scheduled to meet with federal agents to clear up CEO allegations this week. Stay tuned folks!!
