Singer /Songwriter, Kevin McCall comes clean on all the swirling rumors surrounding his music career, his now estranged relationship with ex-girlfriend, Eva Marcille whom he shares a daughter with, and label boss, Chris Brown who he’s furious with.
In the Vlad TV interview, McCall says most of what we’ve heard in the media of his ‘bad character’ is completely FALSE, and says his ‘SILENCE’ is what damaged his public image. If you’ve been paying close attention, McCall and America’s top model winner, Eva Marcille had a steamy and loving relationship that led many to believe that the two were headed down the ‘happy ever trail’. But their relationship hit a huge rock following the birth of their daughter, Marley [ now 1 years old] last year along with the pressure of marriage.
News hit the web that a domestic dispute occurred at the couple’s residence and painted McCall as the bad guy who allegedly, went on an angry tirade to harm Eva. McCall says that the only truth of the argument was that he broke his studio doors, nothing more. He also goes on to say that he was never arrested [as the media claimed], and was hurt by Eva’s non-support in defending the truth of what happened to TMZ who leaked the story.
” What she [Eva] said was, no you don’t say anything about it, you just let it go away. I felt like she had more experience in the game, so I listened to her. But I feel like my silence is what hurt me this whole time; I should have just told the truth. – McCall “
McCall also denounced the rumors that suggested that he had similar issues with his first child’s mother and that may have cause harmed in his relationship with Eva.
” I have another child a four year old named Genesis. My first daughter’s mother is intelligent, so no issues there. There was a child “
McCall says his relationship with Marcille changed gears because at the time he had been dealing with unresolved issues with his manager, Chris Brown.
” We met and two three months later she was pregnant. She doesn’t like me to tell that story because she says it makes her look bad. Marley was made out of love. Marley is a love child for sure. She’s not an accident and she has a beautiful mama.
I was just in the space with this bitterness towards Chris Brown where I was angry with Chris Brown , and my career, and being signed to him, and feeling like he didn’t look out. And feeling like the label did me wrong. So I’m mad with everybody in the industry whether I want to admit it or not. My finances are where I want them because ‘checks’ are not coming and I’m not signing any deals because I’m signed to Chris and he’s not signing off on any deals. so that stuff was going on and I was pissed. “
On The Restraining Order Incident With Eva :
” Yeah, there was a dispute like regular argument like men and women have, and you know the one that calls the police first, the other one is going to jail [as Mike Epps would say]… I forgive her for everything that happen, but there was no abuse that occurred; no verbal abuse, no physical abuse, no chasing no baby. I did kicked down on doors. Sometimes I hit things and break my things. I broke down my studio doors. I didn’t chase her around the house…. the cops did come but I was never arrested so there you have it. “
” The only reason the restraining order was taken into effect, was because of her best friend [who is secretly obsessed with her and trying to get me out the picture] did not properly serve me. I wasn’t at the residence at the time. “
And there you have it folks. McCall also spoke on his minor run-in with manager Chris Brown who tried to blackball him in the industry after he learned that McCall did a record with Keke Palmer without his consent, and he recent apology to rapper, Wale.
