Vegan Meals At Your Service!
Beyonce has teamed up with her fitness trainer Marcos Borges to launch their very own nutrition fit plan entitled ‘The 22 Days Nutrition‘ We all remember when Beyonce stole the red carpet show with her newly snatched ‘beach body’ at the 2014 Grammy’s and then again during her performance of ‘Drunk In Love’ with hubby Jay-Z , and now we’re being told of the the food diet cure that help Bey narrow down to a size 4.
According to Borges, Beyonce and Jay-Z were interested in testing this particular food cleanse for nutritional and spiritual purposes. The two embarked on their 22 day just two months before the Grammy [Dec 1. – Dec. 22nd]
” We want to go plant-based. And Jay’s says, Yeah my birthday is coming up, and I think it would be really cool, if for my birthday I just did this, spiritual health cleanse and I tried something new… it was amazing.”
They’re incredible human beings and we’ve developed a really beautiful relationship over the last seven years, and we were just talking about the benefits of plant-based nutrition, and health, and life, and I thought, it would be cool if I challenged them to a plant-based breakfast just one meal a day.
” The meals are 100 percent plant-based, made with organic ingredients, non-GMO, gluten free, soy free and dairy free and are delivered once a week. Available in three plans [1 Meal A Day-Lunch or Dinner, 2 Meals A Day-lunch and dinner or 3 Meals A Day Breakfast, lunch and dinner, the meals range from $9.76 to $16.50 per meal depending on how many meals you buy. “
The philosophy behind the magic number ’22’ is simple. As with all changes that occur within the body; 21 days allows the body to rejuvenate, recharge, and reset. The cleaner you eat, the better the body. During the 21 days, all of the ‘impurities’ and ‘toxins’ are removed from the body, and on the 22nd day, the body is fully reset to absorb your new lifestyle.
The bonus here is that your body is in great health, and your skin looks flawlessly beautiful afterwards. How do I know? I actually underwent the master cleanse diet twice while breastfeeding after giving birth to my two children. I dropped over 20 pounds in the 21 days; yes it is true. The ‘con’ with this particular regimen is that its predominantly a liquid based diet with no foods included which can be frustrating at times [especially those that work full time]. For me I had mood swings often, and I also had to cook for my husband [but not eat] so that was extremely difficult the first week. If you believe in the concept of ‘mind over matter’ than you can get through it, but it definitely has its challenges. The pro here is that you’ll drop alot of excess fat and look much ‘leaner’, but the con is that you can easily add those pounds back because you then feel entitled to eat those previous ‘cheat foods’ and before you know it, you picked up old habits.
I guess the lesson here is balance and discipline. While the vegan meal plan excludes dairy products and poultry foods, there is many alternative protein choices to help you along the 21 days. It’s interesting to see how the vegan and nutritional lifestyle has captivated the hearts of many that want to live a healthier life.
