Katy Perry provided another memorable moment at the 2015 Super Bowl halftime along featured guest Lenny Kravitz and Missy Elliot.
Let’s start with Katy’s AMAZING grand entrance; trolling through the center of the stadium on gigantic ‘lion’ performing her hit song ‘ROAR’. Katy surely raised the bar with her bold costumes and concert graphics, courtesy of fashion guru Jeremy Scott.
Katy gave a snippet performance of ‘Dark Horse’ but I think ‘Juicy J’ cameo would have made for a much better performance rather than the robotic dancers. Lenny Kravitz joined in shortly after to perform a duet of Katy’s classic hit song ‘ I Kissed A Girl’ .
Katy brought the sun and beach feel to Glendale, Az with her hit song’s ‘Teenage Dream’ and ‘California Girls’, before bringing out music extraordinaire Missy Elliot who wowed the crowd and brought them their feet as she performed her popular hits ‘Get Your Freak On, Work It, and ‘Lose Control’.
Sidebar: My entire family was up on their feet dancing when Elliot performed ‘Work It’. Twenty years later and Missy still got it.
Katy concluded the show with a her ‘Fireworks’ hit song and delivered a spectacular performance. Strapped to a holographic star, Katy floated throughout the stadium while fireworks ignited all over the stadium. Grand Opening, Grand Closing.
Later that evening Missy took to twitter to explain why she’d cry after her performance. She tweeted:
