This Queen B lives by the loyalty code!
Lil Kim recently moved her ailing father Linwood Jones in to her NJ mansion home after her father mental health began to fade. Although there is no officially diagnosis of her father’s condition Lil Kim tells OK! magazine that she beleives her father maybe suffering from Alzehemier’s Disease.
We have to feed him, because he can’t make his own food,” Kim stated during her Return of the Queen tour launch at Paradise Theater in Bronx, N.Y. He can’t really pour juice. He can get dressed, but we have to help him sometimes. Basically we have to help him do almost everything. He can walk around and stuff like that. And again, it’s early stages
The 37-year old rapper also notes that at times it’s a challenge to care for her father.
He remembers to do some things, but sometimes he forgets some things. Like one time, he forgot to turn off the stove, and the coffee pot caught on fire. We had to run and put it out. It was really crazy.
Now, the Lighter’s Up” rapper was estranged from her father for most of her life so why would she is assisting him now. Kim response is short and simple: Loyalty.
Well, I am a child of God,” she says. “I believe in God, and I also believe in the quote ‘honor thy mother and thy father.’ No matter what, I’m always going to be there for my family.
Clearly, Kim has a big heart and prides herself on loyalty especially with the men in her life. I t makes me wonder why Kim remains single and whether or not she’ll receive true happiness because most of the men in her life have disappointed her one way or another and she continues to ride for them despite it all.
Cudos to you Kim! It takes a loving heart to do such a thing rather than put their parent in a nursing home as many others would’ve done [especially if they’ve had an absent parent who showed up in the later part of their life. However, I
