You can’t front, dating apps are fun, This app is really awesome and cool, and I came no board to help market the product. The two guys that created this app, are edgy, their young, two men of color, and they know what’s hot on the scene. I think what people want in a romantic other they’ll find it on this app.

PLUM: During Your Reality TV Rise, You Began Fulfilling Your Passion In Music, Dropping Singles Here and There In Recent Years, Where Is Po Johnson Musically Right Now?

Po Johnson: I’ve been doing alot of writing lately. I’ve done a few songs with [pause]. Well, they [artists] don’t like when you say: I wrote for that artist. But I’m in the studio alot

and I am writing for other artists.

I’m also working on my own stuff right now, and I’ve been doing music right now that comes with me organically. I had a small success with ‘Monster’ and ‘Fem Fatale’ but I can’t really rush it and say when exactly the next project is going to come out.

I really don’t like to talk about it, but [pause] you know, everybody knows I’m a very outspoken person but I think I was more concern about my LGBTQ community and people judging me, and me letting anybody down.

PLUM: Did You Think You Would be Un-Supported From the LGBTQ Because Of Your Decision?

Po Johnson: The LGBTQ is my family, and like any family, your concerned about what your family think of you. But I think for me, the main thing that I stand for as a person is being ‘honest’, and they have supported me in this decision.

Po Johnson: I just left Lala and Dice, we were all hanging out until 3.am last night and I am not really liberty to speak on them but here’s what I can say:

Lala has been doing alot of the movies, so she’s concentrating on that. She is a series regular o CBS /A&E ‘Unforgettable’ show so look out for that. She just did a movie called ‘Chiraq’ which premieres in theaters December 1st, and she’s set to begin filming Ernest Dickerson’s ‘Double Play’.

Dice is working alot, and she’s all over the place, doing alot of work behind the scenes, and that’s my background as well. We have a project coming out soon, but I’m not telling because I don’t want to jinx myself [laughs].

Po recently debut her holiday sweater collection, a joint collaboration with Served Fresh Collection, and before you think about its negative connotations, take a read at what the designers had to say about their ‘ugly sweater’ line.
