Kanye West unveiled his new fashion line on the first day of #NYFW last night at an industrial place in Manhattan by the Hudson River. If you recall, Kanye went on a rant last year blasting the fashion industry exec’s  for not respecting his creative genius and giving him a seat on their elite fashion board despite his 3 million dollar investment .

Well, for the second time, Kanye displayed his fashion talents in his very own Adidas Original collection last night along with a new song.  Now, I appreciate Ye’s music artistry, his confident demeanor. and his appreciation for the 70’s ,and 80’s fashion, but the featured clothing designs is not my particular choice of ‘tea’.

The show began with a taped monologue by West in which he said:

“I want people to feel like it’s OK to create and follow their dreams are and not feel boxed in – I want people to feel that awesome is possible. There’s a lack of creativity in every field because people are afraid. As an artist in this room, we can do whatever we want.”
