The Family of deceased ebola victim, Eric Duncan reached a quiet and undisclosed settlement with the Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas Texas. As you may know, Duncan was sent home up his initial visit, despite his complaint of nausea and headaches. Upon his second visit, Duncan was diagnosed with Ebola virus, received treatment, but he died a few days later.
While Hospital affirms that they rendered optimum care to Duncan, their initials oversight was clear grounds for a lawsuit.
According to Duncan’s family attorney’s,
“ A resolution has been reached on behalf of the children and parents of the decades with Texas Health Resources and all related entities. The resolution includes a financial settlement and a charitable contribution. no further monetary details were disclosed – The Grio ”
Eric Duncan was the first person in the United States to be diagnosed and killed from Ebola disease.
