The internet is a funk/soul band consisting of Odd Future members Syd The Kyd, Matt Martians, Jamel Bruner, Patrick Paige , and Christopher A. Smith. Following the success of their first debut album Purple Naked Ladies, the internet went to tour overseas with Odd Future and Mac Miller Lead singer Syd [real name Sydney Bennett is a producer, singer and deejay bred from Los Angeles.
When asked about the group’s musical sound Syd said:
” We get our sound from our influences from artist such as J.Davey, Jamiroquai, Thunder Cat, and Erykah Badu. We just take everything that we know from these people and mash it up. “
Syd also described the group’s music genre as ‘experimental jazz’.
” Our new album “Feel Good” represents that, its really jazzy and funky says Syd. “
