August Alsina NYC promo tour for his highly anticipated solo LP  “Testimony” [which dropped yesterday]  [April 15th] has stirred many ‘positive’ reviews but it also bred a bit of ‘negativity’ following his interview with BET’s ‘106th & Park‘ show.

Host, ‘Keisha Chante’ asked Alsina about his public feud with former friend/ singer, Trey Songz  and Alsina reminded BET to honor their integrity. Clearly, Keisha didn’t get the memo or maybe she was told that she must enforce the question – so she did, and Alsina responded:

” So you gonna go against the grain, and everything that I told ya’ll… I just told ya’ll not to me ask me that sh–t when I got up in here. “

Keisha kept her composure and reminded Alsina that since he’d already address the answers on previous interviews she’d meant no harm in asking him the very same for the BET fans [especially since he’s on their show]  “If you don’t want to answer, that’s fine” – said Keisha. Alsina replied; “I Won’t

Sidebar: Bow Wow just stood there and let Keisha take the heat. I think both Alsina and Chante displayed a very good points here.

Some one dropped the ball over at BET, however these are the pro’s and con’s of being an interview correspondent. Now what BET should have told Alsina when he issued his demands was that he will need to say ‘NO’ on camera, which he ultimately did anyway.

As August explained during his interview with ‘The Breakfast Club‘,  he is not a fan of the industry antics [the fake, the phonies, and the just for the hype fans] and therefore he does not have any friends in the industry along with his stance on the do’s and don’t.

Watch the interview below:

While we see this is an ongoing ‘disease’ in the industry, the politics of the game will continue. One hand washes the other.  Press and Relevancy Goes Hand In Hand!  There was much debate on whether Alsina crossed lines with his language and verbal approach to a female, and others  felt that the August needs to build up his music resume before acting like an industry elite.

Well,  August says:

” I’m a Youngin and I’m very aware that I have to grow, and I’m growing! But I tell you what…” but

“No One Is Going To Rob Me Of My Honesty! “
