As you may have heard and or saw a sex tape video leaked a week ago showing super talented gospel singer, Kevin Terry performing “fellacio” on another male companion. This story took the world by storm [like many church, and religious scandals do] as Terry is an openly devoted Christian and preaches the GOSPEL [the Bible aka the word of GOD]. What’s interesting here is that we all know there are many “closeted men and women” in the world and while we’d like think that there are certain venues that would exclude their presence -its quite the contrary. I’ve reviewed some of the commentary of folks and many people were aging unbelievably SHOCKED by Terry’s actions.
My response is why is there a shock reaction? The more we continue to sweep homosexuality under the rug, the more it appears in our living room. WAKE UP PEOPLE! There are Gay people who also believe in God. So where do we go from here?
Singer Lil Mom defended Terry and noted that while Terry was the one of the guilty parties in the leud act, his partner in crime is a COWARD for leaving him to l hang the the public scrutiny ALONE.
Kevin Terry responded to the sex tape leak [via facebook] and while he notes his actions as a mistake, he does not own his truth about his sexuality saying:
Who knows what will be of Kevin Terry’s future in gospel music. The singer has no Terry and The Predestined Group recently unveiled their first single entitle “Didn’t I Tell You” on itunes right now. When asked about the new album Terry said:
