While the world awaited the verdict of George Zimmerman over the weekend – Actress, Halle Berry and TV late night host Jimmy Kimmel tied the knot with their spouses in a private ceremony. Let’s start with Halle Berry. The actress married her fiancee Oliver Martinez on Saturday [July 13th] at Chateau Des Conde in Vallery France -confirms Us Weekly. The Huffington post reports:
The ceremony took place in a small chateau, where, in accordance with French law, a civil union was held at 4 p.m., followed by a religious ceremony at 5:30 p.m. at the chapel in the village.
“White marquees were put up, and everyone was very discreet because it was a show business wedding,” a local tells Us Weekly of the nuptials. “But generally it was pretty down-to-earth.”
People reports that 60 guests, mostly close friends, were in attendance including Martinez’s mother Rosemarie and brother Vincent. Dinner was held under an arbor, and there was a fireworks display.
This is Halle’s third marriage and as the saying goes: “third time’s the charm” therefore Halle may have found her prince charming after-all. Both Halle and Oliver are expecting an baby boy this upcoming fall.
Sidebar: I absolutely admire how Halle And Oliver opted for an “unlavish” private ceremony with very few guests despite their riches. After-all a marriage ceremony is about celebrating the love between two individuals and not the the glitz and glam of the venue decorum it has become for many.

In related news. Jimmy Kimmel tied the knot to his longtime girlfriend, Molly McNearny. The private ceremony took place at the Ojai Valley Inn & Spa.There were many A-list celebs in attendance including Jennifer Aniston and boyfriend Justin Theroux.
The ceremony hit the web instantly as word spread that actress, Gabourey Sidibe pranked Kimmel. Sidibe walked down the aile in a wedding dress as the official ceremony song: “here comes the bride” played in the background. Well, McNearny confirmed with media outlets that she was in on the prank with her husband.
All things ended well as Sidibe and Kimmel hugged it out afterwards at the reception.
