Take read at a few excerpts and watch the full interview below:

On The New Album ‘Talk A Good Game‘:

“The album takes you on a journey [for me] on my thoughts. The way I was feeling in the studio. The wonderful moments I spent with singer/songwriters, Kevin Cossom, Courtney Harell, and Sevyn Streeter – its just me and being very open where for a second was a little hard, like for instance “Dirty Laundry”. I remember saying – ” I don’t want know if I want to put that on the album because its SO MUCH.”

On Dirty Laundry Track:

“It was a form of therapy. I think everyone has their own version of their “Dirty Laundry” and I think its nothing to be ashamed of. It shouldn’t be anything that makes you feel less than. It allows you be human. You suppose to be able to grown an learn from it – like I did, and with that relationship. It’ therapeutic “

On Whether She Was Envious Towards Beyonce:

“It was place where I was [ at that time]. I was so young. That’s the most that I can say about it. My head was completely gone. Sometimes in relationships you think – as you are – that edge. That’s what basically happen with my sister [Beyonce].  And what matters to me the most right now is what we have. I love her and Michelle more than anything  and they mean the world to me. I’m so grateful for what we have as SISTERS – away from Destiny Child.”

On If She Played The Track For Beyonce Prior To Releasing The Record:

Of course. I played it for her and Michelle. It was endearing. Bey said “I Never Left”. She heard how real I was and she was like ” I’m so proud of you”

On Her Sexual Tracks [Motivation & Kisses Down Love]:

“Yeah. I felt empowered. The first moment I had [sexually empowered] that was thanks to producer Rico Love . He made me feel empowered sexually as woman and about my sexuality. And singing the song just made you feel very womanly… and I love that about him and working with him.

On Her Collabo Track “You’ve Changed” Ft. Beyonce and Michelle:

“It’s really soulful. One of my dear friends Harmony Samuels played me this record and said: Its old.  I was like I love this song, I love the soul in it. My brother who was in the studio with me said: You need to get the girls on this track. Its like an extension of  our hit track “Girl”. So I said ok – let me see what they said… and they got on the record.”

Talk A Good Game‘ drops June 18th.
