Whoopi Goldberg is unconcern with all the “chatter” surrounding the next co-hosts for ABC’s ” The View ” show. As announced a few weeks back by the show’s producers, Joy Behar and Elisabeth Hasselback are departing as “co-hosts” of The View, and while Barbara Walters remains tight-lipped on who would replace the two – Whoopi says she could care less. In a recent interview with Us Weekly, Whoopi flat out stated that she is of “no influence” in the casting decisions, and reiterated clearly that Barbara Walters is the HBIC [Head Boss In Charge]. Here’s Whoopi’s statement:
Let Me Tell You This About The view – “I take a paycheck every other week. That’s All I Do! I could give a [Bleep] what comes.
“My job is to show up and be cute by 11:00 and get the [bleep] ff the show by 12, and that’s what I try to do. It ain’t my show. It’s Barbabra Walters show! “
Sidebar: Hopefully Whoopi’s potty mouth doesn’t get her a verbal lashing at work – but then again Whoopi didn’t throw anybody under the bush nor did she shade her boss. In my book Whoopi delivered a good answer – sans the profanity.
Whoopi’ did go on to say that she will be “courteous” to her new co-host but will focus more on earning her bi-weekly paystub instead.
” I’ll Try To!…..I don’t give a [bleep] whatever ya’ll want. Just make sure my check doesn’t bounce.”
