The divorce that we’ve all been waiting for has come! Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries are no longer married as of Friday April 19th, 2013. Although, Kim filed for divorce 72 days after marrying Humphries [back in 2011], the divorce proceeding lasted close to a year and nine months.
Kris was seeking $7 million dollars from Kim claiming that the wedding was a “fraud” and requesting Kim to annul the marriage based on the reason submitted but Kim repeatedly refused.
Well, it seems the two has reached some sort of a “private” agreement because Kris reportedly walked away with “no monies” from Kim and the judge ordered both Kim and Kris to pay their “own” attorney fees, reports TMZ.
[nggallery id=107]So why did Kris drag out his divorce proceeding for months on end, only to suddenly grant Kim a divorce? Clearly, Kris has had a change of heart -saying “he feels sorry for Kim” and finally signed the divorce papers.
Kris was surely feeling great about the outcome. The NBA star tweeted the following after the papers were signed.
At least Kim is now OFFICIALLY a “single woman” and can proceed on with her relationship with Kanye and her upcoming delivery without public scrutiny. Fingers crossed.
