Lil Kim is heading back to Manhattan Supreme court – but this time she’s the plaintiff. The Brooklyn rapper is suing her former lawyer Sunny Bakrats for shady contact and shady endorsement deals. The Queen Bee appeared in court on Friday [March 7th] to face her “alleged defendants”. Lil Kim says that Bakrats, along with friend Andrew Ro, robbed her of “valuable trademark” and “branding rights” in regards to Liquor, Makeup, and Fashion endorsements.
“Lil’ Kim said that Bakrats promised he “multimillion dollar deals for [Kim’s] brands in the cosmetic and perfume business,” but failed to back up his claims.”Bakrats sees it differently. He said that Lil’ Kim just wanted to get out of a contract, saying her lawsuit was just “another frivolous attempt by Lil’ Kim and her attorneys to get out of what is otherwise a binding agreement.” Sunny predicted that the judge would throw out Lil’ Kim’s lawsuit.
According to the court documents, Lil’ Kim claims that Bakrats and Ro had a 44 percent stake in a corporation formed to license her brand names. However, the rapper said that when she realized back in December that she was getting a shady deal, she tried to get out of the contracts, but Bakrats reportedly refused, Kim claims.
This case is sure to stir the DRAMA in court between the two. The He Said, She Said game doesn’t hold up in court as much as EVIDENCE does. Stay tuned PLUM”s.
In related news, there are rumors swirling saying that Lil Kim has gone under the plastic surgery knife YET again. Kim was spotted leaving BOA Steakhouse a few days ago and her face appeared more plumped, and her cheeks looked altered. The media immediately went into a FRENZY. However, a rep from Kim’s camp has responded calling the rumors:
“Fictitious, Malicious, and Despicable! “We would like to inform fans, the media, and the general public that this is nothing more than the blog site doing its best to conjure up much needed publicity and what better way to do so, than to take an American music icon and create a fictitious platform in which to disrespect and humiliate. We at Team Lil Kim are not taking this lying down and are taking this matter very seriously.”
Despite the public chatter, Kim remains adamant that these photos were indeed PHOTO-SHOPPED and not as her actual face appeared.
