Other Celebs Defend Beyonce LipSyncing Performance + Ex-Mill Vanilli Singer Speaks Out!

beyonce-inauguration

As Beyonce Lip-Synch scandal continues to grow more celebrities speaking out in her defense. This morning we learned that CNN spoke with one of the inaugural officials who CONFIRMED that Bey did lip-sync her performance of the National Anthem.  The IAO says that what we [the people] heard was a recording of the singer, not her actual voice.  It Was All Her – Beyonce says the IAO.  He went on to say thatit was a decision that Bey made herself “because she didn’t have time to rehearse with the Marine Band, she decided to use her recording with the Marine Band.”

Hallelujah – now can we settle the dust on this story?

Other celebrities chimed in on twitter to defend Beyonce’s lipsynching actions. From Lee An Rimes to Alicia Keys, and J-Lo [who all agreed that] Beyonce is a talented performer and whether or not she lip-synched she shouldn’t be discredited for one act.

Check out the tweets below:

Jennifer Lopez:

“In certain venues and stuff, they do prerecord things, because you’re going to have that terrible slapback … All performers do have to do it at some point.”

Lee Ann Rimes:

“I’m actually taking up for her on this one. There are times when people will ask you to do it, and they will not let you do it unless you do it because they want control over what happens.”

Alicia Keys:

“What I do know is that Beyoncé is a great performer and she’s an incredible artist with a really, really powerful voice. All the rest of the ‘whys’ or ‘whatever,’ we know that she can deliver and she did deliver that song really beautifully.”

CNN correspondent Anderson Cooper wrote:

“Who cares if @Beyonce didn’t sing live at inauguration. She looked and sounded amazing!”

Sidebar: I love how Anderson wrote sounded amazing following his first sentence. The pre-recording did sound amazing though!

Piers Morgan said:

“I still don’t care if Beyoncé lip-synced or not. She’s a brilliant singer and lovely woman — half the world’s starving, folks, get over it.”

Bravo’s  Andy Cohen  of Watch What Happens Live show  wrote it best when he said:

“If Beyoncé lip-synced that was the best d— lip-sync I have ever seen!”

Ok people – I guess its safe to say that this story should be kapute after today. Beyonce lip-synch [as did  Whitney Houston , Chris Brown, J-Lo and many of  our favorite stars did] But the question on the table is why Beyonce being compared to Mill Vanilli [who was exposed for their lip-synching – and later booted out of the music industry].

Morvan of the  famous Milli Vanilli group weighed in on the controversy and told TMZ  the music industry [nowadays] is made there is a whole lot of carbon copying of live singing going on.

“It’s hard to believe, in this day of Auto-Tune, that people are still acting surprised [by Beyoncé lip-syncing],” said Morvan.

“Everyone knows Beyoncé can sing. Everyone should just step back and relax. There are far more important things to worry about,” Morvan added. “But I can certainly relate to what she’s going through.”

Whitney-Houston-Superbowl

I’m sure many of us felt duped to learn that  Whitney Houston’s  historic rendition of  ”The Star Spangled Banner” during the 1991 Super Bowl was also lip-synced!

“The music was pre-recorded, and so was the vocal,” Houston’s musical director Rickey Minor, revealed last February.

A Tweet, A Tweet, That’s All Folks!
