Yesterday was as an all-day celebration for our 44th President, Barack H. Obama. The 2013 inaugural ball kicked off yesterday [Jan. 21] following the inauguration ceremony, luncheon, and parade, and the stars were all in attendance. This years performer lineup included: Country singer, Brad Pasley, Rock band group, Mana, Music Legend, Stevie Wonder, the incomparable Alicia Keys, and Jennifer Hudson [who sung the president’s favorite song Al Green’s- ‘Let’s Stay Together‘ ] for the president’s and first lady first dance of the evening. We all remember the president singing debut last year at thw Apollo theater where he took on the same song by Al Green; which ignited the crowd and later drew popular attention. Last night, the president joined in on several parts of the song while singing to the first lady.
Stevie Wonder uproared the crowd with his classical hits songs “Sign Sealed Delivered- I’m Yours” record, and Alicia Keys did the very same with her special rendition of her smash “Girl On Fire” song. Instead, Keys sung : “He’s the president and he’s on fire … Obama’s on fire. Obama’s on fire.”
The President and the first lady looked very exquisite once again. Barack dressed in black and white formal attire with a black bow tie, and The First Lady wore a red gown by New York based designer Jason Wu [whom she used four years ago in 2009] to the Presidential Inaugural Ball. The custom-made halter-neck crimson red gown showed off the First Lady’s perfectly toned abs.
