Queen Bey is back at work and has already taking center stage. Beyonce has just been nabbed as the headlining performer at the NFL Superbowl Halftime show, reports the Associated Press. This will be Bey’s second time as the head performer of the NFL halftime show. The singer sung the National Anthem at the Houston-based Super Bowl in 2004.
The NFL nor reps from Bey’s camp has confirmed the news as yet, but reports indicate that the announcement will be made tomorrow [Wednesday, Oct. 17th]. Now we all know Beyonce can ‘stand alone’ in any arena but I surely hope ‘Bey’ pulls out a few celebrity cards for the show. Similar to Madonna who performed last year with rappers, MIA and Nicki Minaj, Beyonce it would be nice if Bey brought out her husband Jay-Z, Kanye, Solange, and Kelly and Michelle. Now that would be a halftime delight for real.
The XLVII Super Bowl will take place in New Orleans on Feb. 3 and will air on CBS.
