Reality star, Toya Wright of BET’s 106th Tiny and Toya show is being sued for one million dollars by her publisher Sarah Gray
According to court documents filed Gray is suing for:
direct, contributory and vicarious inducement of copyright infringement, unfair competition and breach of contract
Toya is alleged to have been selling copies of her book privately therefore breaching her contract according to Gray. Toya wasted no time weighing in her two cents via twitter. Toya tweets:
U trying to sue me for 1 million dollars. for what??? give me 1 good reason,” she tweeted Thursday. “i refuse to let anyone lie on me. i did all I can do to sell my book and promote it. so all of this is BS!
This could get pretty messy especially considering that Toya’s book “Priceless Inspirations” peaked the NY Times Best Seller’s list. Toya who recently inked a deal with Walmart, is writing a follow-up book and is also opening a new salon alongside her Garb Boutique store in New Orleans.
As the saying goes: More Money, More Problems! Hope all ends well!
