Mindless Behavior Apologizes For Lauren Hill Joke. Beyonce Says Joke Was “Not Cool”

If you watched the 2012 BET Awards [this past Sunday, July 1]  then you heard the foul joke that was dished during Mindless behavior and Mike Epps presenter speech.

The pop group was presenting an award with comedian Mike Epps and in true award fashion the two came up with a skit which was centered around who had the best singing ability. While Mike Epps clowned the group, referring to them as Jodeci, Ray Ray [on right next to Epp in the all white ninja outfit] replied with the following comment:

You Sing Bad, Like Lauren Hill’s Tax Account Bad

Ray Ray was quickly booed from the audience following his comment and after twitter went into frenzy war of who is too blame [BET for writing the skit or Ray Ray for relaying the message], he quickly apologized yesterday [on BET’s 106 & park show] via phone.

Ray Ray says the comment was not taking jab at Hill’s talent and or music contribution and he never meant in a bad taste.

I want to apologize about the Lauryn Hill joke… I didn’t mean no harm by it. I hope everyone can forgive me. It was like a big thing on Twitter and everything, so I truly apologize. I respect Lauryn Hill and all of them like that.

Sidebar: Does RayRay even know how much money is in his bank account?

Leave that 11-year old boy alone! He’s a child? What does he know? But hopefully next time Ray Ray will stay in a child’s place because he [and any other artist] could very well end up in the same place as Lauren Hill if they do not keep up on their finances and obligations to the IRS.

Beyonce, who won the award paid homage to Lauren Hill during her acceptance saying: I want to thank all the talented R&B women that came before me like Lauryn Hill and Mary J. Blige. Beyonce reportedly told a BET staff that she thought the skit was ‘disrespectful’ and ‘not cool’.
