[Audio] Nicki Minaj Calls Into Hot 97 FunkMaster Flex Show + Nicki Calls Into Breakfast Club And Address Lil Kim Comments Re: Linking Up W/Foxy Brown

I hear The Mumbling, I Hear The Chackling!

After Nicki Minaj cancelled her performance from the 2012 Summer Jam concert following a diss from Peter Rosenberg [Hot 97 VJ who called out Nicki ‘Starships’ single as un-hiphop just hours before Nicki was to take the summer stage]. Well, tensions fueled between the rapper and the Hot 97 hiphop station shortly thereafter and Funkmaster Flex [whom is friends with Nicki] added his thoughts which thickened the beef between the two.

Well, Nicki wanted to set the record straight for her fans that “she’s not a quitter”. After a few email exchanges The ‘Starships’ rapper agreed to call into the station during the Funkmaster Flex show last night [June 4th] to address Rosenberg and Flex for their insults. Here’s Flex opening statement:

We exchanged some emails me and you. At first we didn’t have the nicest things to say to each other. We calmed down an little bit, and then were able to get on the phone and discuss some things a little bit, so were able to get you having you on the radio and I appreciate you checking in especially under the circumstances. Ok I’m gonna skip to the chase. Let’s get into it.

Here’s a few of Nicki’s excerpts regarding the comments that were made about her. Nicki fired back with a vengeance calling out Rosenberg and Flex for coming at her [because she’s a woman] rather than address Lil Wayne, attacking her record sales, and calling out her music as un-hip-hop.

On Her Commercial hit “Starships” which Rosenberg called out Nicki:

My fans at summer jam nor my fans who were watching the live stream didn’t appreciate his [Rosenberg] comment’s. This is not about the 2,000 people he spoke in front of.

Don’t make 3 million people who downloaded the song [Starships] feel inferior to their taste of music. I help sell those tickets at Summer Jam, I had that up on my website , I  promoted ticket sales on my site. Nicki opened up that stream to Paris, London so millions of people can see a live performance at the request of Hot 97… and I did that because I thought things were smoothed between us.

On Flex saying: If You Don’t Go Gold It’s You Fault!

I sold 900,000 copies worldwide. I sold 500,00 + in the US and Starships single sold 3 million records so do the MATH before you talk next time….

Nicki also called into the Power 105.1 Breakfast Club this morning to address Lil Kim comments on twitter that she was copying her style bringing out former female rapper Foxy Brown] and rumors that she [Nicki] had planned on bring out a coffin on stage with a carbon copy of Kim inside of it.

Nicki On The Coffin Rumors:
Don’t even ask me such me a thing. I don’t bring death on my stage, I bring Life. Furthermore, I would never make someone who’s irrelevant, relevant on stage where I’m performing.

Nicki On Bringing Out Foxy Brown:
I reached out to her months ago when I was putting my summerjam lineup together. I’ve made it publicly known that I got love for Foxy and this was not no sudden thing where we happened to link up. Foxy called me after the whole Hot 97 thing and said Nicki we riding with you. She wasn’t the only one. Other artists who was suppose to perform [Khaled, Busta Rhymes, Lil Wayne, Birdman, Foxy Brown, Cameron, and Beenieman] backed out of their performance attended my dinner party at Negril Village.

And there you have it! R.E.S.P.E.C.T Nicki!
