Nicki Minaj was slated to perform at the 2012 Summer Jam Concert along with other YMCMB affiliates including Lil Wayne, but a mild feud which erupted during the pre-show festival resulted in a boycott from Nicki Minaj and the rest of the Young money crew. Hot 97 VJ Peter Rosenberg took the stage to introduce the up-coming industry acts, and he wasted no time reminding the audience that Summer Jam was about “Real Hip Hop” and not commercial pop music like “Starships” [aka Nicki Minja’s current music]

Word got back to the Young Money Camp and Lil Wayne immediately took to twitter publicly canceling Nicki’s performance :

Nicki followed with a series of tweets where she co-signed Lil Wayne and assured her fans that she was surely bring history to Summer Jam including Cameron [who is posted above] along with Foxy Brown [who is posted above]
I’m not sure if this beef involved Peter Rosenberg but Funk Master Flex [who is cool with MCMB and Nicki] had this to say

Scaff Breezy [Nicki’s undercover beau/hypeman] made a verbal threat to Rosen berg saying:
Yo Rosenberg when I see you, I’m F*cking You Up! Straight Up!
Clearly this beef stew just got thicker. I’m neutral on this one! I hear both arguments and there is some valid remarks on both ends But I really feel as though the fans [who paid big bucks to see Nicki Minaj in her hometown] was truly disappointed not to see their music idol and Nicki should’ve of proved to Rosenberg and all the other HATERS what her ‘Starships’ is all about because it’s the FANS [that keep you relevant].
I respect Nicki’s loyalty to Wayne, but keep in mind that Lil Wayne may have branded you but it’s the FANS that made you where you are today.
Anywho, Nicki chopped it up at Negril Village with Cameron, Beenieman, Foxy Brown and Lil Kim weighed her two cents of all via twitter saying:
