Shaunie O’neal Releases Statement On Basketball Wives Reunion Show: “There Will Be More Balance”

Well, The basketballwives reunion show took place this past weekend and needless to say the shenanigans continued with the cast-mates. However,  given all the lawsuits by Jennifer and Keisha against the other cast-mates, the petition from Change.org against Evelyn Lozado, and the public plea by Star Jones [via twitter] to cancel the show for it’s negative portrayal of women, bullying, and violence, the cast-mates were all smiles and dolled up for the reunion show.

By the end of the show, Shaunie O’neal issued yet another statement where she address the public’s growing concerns, and affirmed that she and the other women have agreed to work towards a more balanced show.

Given the public plea for more positivity along with Shaunie O’neal open apology and displeasure of it all,  her business partners, Shed Media and Vh1 has released a statement affirming that they too will work towards more positivity in the show.

Shed Media statement is as follows:

Shed Media US is fully committed to telling the compelling stories of the Basketball Wives in a balanced way. Our producing partner Shaunie O’Neal feels strongly about this, and we fully agree with this stance. We support her as she encourages the cast members to work out issues in a non-violent fashion. We look forward to working with her and the rest of the cast on conveying more balance in the next season.

And VH1 statement is as follows:

Our viewers opinions always matter a great deal to us at VH1. Lately, there has been a lot of conversation about Basketball Wives, a series featuring strong, intelligent women with very passionate viewpoints, which can sometimes escalate.

We at VH1 agree with and support Shaunie and the show producers’ “no excessive physical confrontations” policy on the series moving forward. We are all committed to balancing the candid, bold excitement that the viewers have come to love in the series with storylines and representations they can be proud of. Shaunie has been a strong advocate for a more balanced approach to the show and we, along with our producing partners at Shed Media, are all in agreement about moving forward with that goal.

Here’s a few pics of the cast

As a forehead girl myself, I must says that Ev looked better with bangs than without for sure. Peep the spike christian louboutin’s

Jen rocking a red dress and Chanel jewels. Clearly. LUCID is generating sales cause Jen is maintaining her expensive taste.

Royce stepped it up a notch. She already has a banging body but her wardrobe is always in need of an upgrade and she definitely did so this time around. Her shoes [they look like the glitter Guiseppe Zanotti’s with the missing heels but I could be mistaken.

Keisha looks good but simple. I do think thats Keisha could use a different pose though cause she always looks like she’s poking out her chest but her stomach is the one thats always poke it instead. Is it just me?

Now, the question is: Where is Tami Roman? Iguess will have to watch the reunion show to see if she attended and or boycot the show as she stated prior.
