Russell Defends Rhianna After Chris Brown And Drake Diss Track

Chris Brown and Rhianna recent feud over a diss track [which Chris wrote on Kanye West “Theraflu”] has stirred alot of media buzz lately and Rhianna seems to be the guilty party at hand. While Chris Brown affirms that he was making assumptions and did not mention Rhianna’s name when rap the following:

Don’t f–k with my old bitch it’s like a bad fur/ Every industry n—- done had her/ Shook the tree like a pumpkin just to smash her/ Bitch is breaking codes, but I’m the password.

As a result he two have unfollowed one another on twitter and are no longer on speaking terms.

Sidebar: So much for a performance from the duo. I was really hoping the two would perform ‘Birthday Cake’ on stage one day. As for Turn Up The Music, Chris Brown needs no co-singer because he’s clearly entertaining when performs all by himself and Ri-Ri is not the dancer type anyway.

Well, it seems that Drake has been added to the mix. According to, Drake also wrote a diss track ‘to the love of his life’ [Rhianna] where he makes reference to Ri-Ri’s “supposedly hoe-ish behavior” in his new single. Drake raps:

She came through, she brought food / She got f—ed, she knew wassup / She think I’m the realest out / And I say ‘Damn, that makes two of us’ / Oh that look like what’s her name / Chances are it is what’s her name / Chances are, if she was acting up / Then I f—ed her once and never f—ed again / She could have a Grammy, I still treat that a- like a nominee / Just need to know what that p—- like so one time, it’s fine with me.

Well, with all the Rhianna bashing going on these days, Russell Simmons became a bit bothered by it all and spoke out in his blog [via] in defense of Rhianna’s bad reputation. Take a listen:

There have been a lot of artists recently talking about “good girl gone bad,” Rihanna. As far as I’m concerned, I don’t see why everyone has their panties up in a bunch. It’s just that she is out there allegedly f*ckin’ the rockstars of her dreams and you out there fuckin’ groupies. You can’t be mad that she was seen walking out of Ashton Kutcher’s house late one night, cause you know if you were seen walking out of Adriana Lima’s house late one night, you would be in the studio the next day rapping about it. I mean, you all got like 50 girls in your videos drooling over you and you dissing Rihanna? I can’t blame a girl for being independent, having fun and living her life the way she wants to. I am certainly not condoning indiscriminate sex, but don’t get mad cause the girl…

Remember, I was a manager once and I have seen these types of young men on the road. I was with Run-DMC, the Beastie Boys, LL Cool J, Public Enemy, Whoodini and saw all of the girls after the show line up outside the dressing rooms. I mean, Whoodini even wrote a song about, “I Am A H*e” and went on to rap, “I rock three different girls after every show.” So, I know how this shit works. You all got 10 times as many girls as Rihanna has men, and you know that. I love you guys, and this certainly ain’t a diss, but I gotta keep it real.

I respect’s Russell honesty and his opinion on the double standard of men vs. women when defining one’s promiscuity but how do you know Ri-Ri slept with Ashton, Russell? Assumptions or fact!

What a shame! To all my ladies, let this be a valuable lesson. Men will be Men, and unfortunately alot of men still carry their immature ways into their adult life. So just know that they too gossip theirs and other people’s business just like women do. How you carry yourself is very important because clearly a man that has no regard and or respect for you will surely treat you very same if he see’s that you lack the same of yourself. No Pun Intended Ri-Ri but this is how the game is played and I’m sure you are well aware of the rules. Ditch these dudes once and for all.
