P.L.U.M [Salute Of The Day] First-Grader With No Hands Wins National Handwriting Award

First-Grader With No Hands Wins National Handwriting Award

The “PLUM” salute of the day goes to Annie Clark. Annie is just seven years old who unfortunately was born without hands but that didn;t stop her from winning the National Penmanship Award.

According to Gizmodo, the vibrant first grader managed to write her way in the content that was held at Wilson Christian Academy in West Mifflin, Pennsylvania, snagging herself a trophy and $1,000 as one of two national winners in her category.

You may be asking, Well how does she write?

Well, she wedges a pencil between her arm the same way she feeds herself and even paints her toenails, and somehow has enough dexterity to write. That requires some very fine muscle movement in her arms in order to create characters on the page.
