[Video] RHOA Star Phaedra Parks Criminal Past Exposed

Well I Be Damned! Who’d of thought Phaedra Parks aka Ms. Southern Belle and celebrity attorney would ever be involved and or associated with criminal behavior.

Well, Phaedra’s former friend and alleged crime partner, Angela Stanton says she was just that in her former life. In a recent interview with Vibe magazine Stanton reveals details of her friendship and criminal history with the RHOA star an her hubby Apollo Nida and his brother which she wrote in her new book “The Lies Of A Real Housewife”: ‘Shame The Devil and Tell The Truth’.

Stanton alleges that she was introduced to Phaedra through [her then client]rapper, Drama back in 1999. The two of them hit it off although they were completely opposite from one another. After one year of their friendship, Stanton says that Phaedra grew trust of her and then introduce to Apollo [her current husband] and that’s when that when they began their alleged crimes.

After about a year or so, I guess she became a little more comfortable with our relationship and that’s when she introduced me to Apollo. Once she introduced me to Apollo, it was strictly a business relationship that the two of them had. And at that time, they were remaking fraudulent insurance checks.

And of course I was the one that would go into the bank with the identifications, deposit the check, and then go back to the bank and withdraw the money, whether it was $27,000, $30,000.

Stanton went on to talk about their federal racketeering crimes.

This went on for about two years, and then I ended up catching a charge and getting locked up for forgery, and I ended up going to prison. On my first trip to prison, I only did four months, but while I was away at prison, Apollo had also got arrested. So when he got arrested and got banged up and moved to County, and I finally got out after doing my four months, Phaedra and I got back together again.

Appollo Nida's Brother, Everett

This time she introduced me to Everett, which is Apollo’s brother, and we were all involved in the federal racketeering scheme against the federal government – stealing Porches, Hummers, Cadillacs, Corvettes, any hot whip at that time – you name it, we had it. We would basically go to the car lot and write down the VIN numbers of the vehicles that we felt as if we wanted to keep or would make a good sale.

Once we recorded the numbers down off of the VIN, we would take them back to Phaedra and Everett, and once they had it they would make a fake identification card and a registration card to match the vehicle.
“The next day you could take the ID and the registration card and go to another car dealership and tell them that this is your vehicle and they’ll cut you a key for a fee of $185.

Well, once we had the key, we would then go back to the car dealerships after the dealership closed and drive off with whatever car we picked earlier.
“After that they would get sent off to the chop shop. Once everything was cleaned up, we would take the title and swap the titles out for Georgia titles, then take them to another car dealership, trade the car in for another car of lesser value, and walk away with the money.

Everything had been going fine in our relationship for probably about three to four years, until this last incident, and I was seven months pregnant with my daughter. My cousin was going to the DMV to trade in one of the titles [and] she got banged up at the DMV.

So an auto theft detective by the name of Pete McFarlane [sp?] questioned her, but eventually released her. When she finally made it to me and told me everything that happened, I immediately called Phaedra and Everett, and my first concern was where do we stand now with the project, and how are we going to proceed?

Phaedra told me that we should proceed with what we had. Everett said that we would leave in the morning as well. So we left that next morning headed to Tennessee with three of the luxury vehicles., and this is where I was arrested. This is where Everett was arrested.

Because it was a federal case and I hadn’t been in any federal trouble, I went back to state prison, while Everett went back to federal custody along with Apollo.

“Once I was incarcerated, the plan and the agreement was always that she would always represent all of us if we ever got into any trouble, and that’s what I expected. I expected her to represent me. I expected her to look out for me. I expected her to look out for my children if something were to happen. I expected her to do everything that she said she was going to do because I did everything that I said I was going to do.

I never told. I ended up getting five years in the state…”

So I guess the question now is why is Stanton speaking of it now rather than sooner. Whats in it for her? Well, a best seller book is one option but nothing aside from that nothing. Stanton made it clear that she was upset with Phaedra’s absence as her attorney after she promised to do so for all parties. This could be of some truth; after-all Phaedra did marry her accomplice which technically exempts her from testifying against Apollo an her brother -in law, so if she was never implicated in the beginning then it comes as if she were never involved in the crime.
Also these crimes happened well over seven years agp and therefore depending the state of crime and the statutory limits of the crime Phaedra can;t be charged no way. So what’s in for Stanton? I guess a piece of mind or that she simply wants to “Sham The Devil and Tell The Truth!

Interestingly, on this season of RHOA [Real Housewives Of Atlanta] Phaedra was seen representing a drug dealer/rapper, and her new business venture includes the Funeral business. Hmm? Just a thought.

They say lawyers make the best criminals. Why? Because they have knowledge of the system and therefore know how to beat the system when deemed necessary.
