Singer, Ray-J has finally broke his silence! Ray-J immediately went into hiding after learning the death of Whitney Houston. Houston and Ray-J have been rumored to be in an on-off again relationship for several few years now and the two were even spotted just 48 hours before Houston death.
However neither of them have ever confirmed the relationship and Ray-J has contested that they were nothing more than “close friends“. The singer finally spoke out about his feelings regarding Whitney death. Ray-J references Whitney as Nippy, a nick name Whitney’s father gave her and often called her.
Over the past few days, I’ve tried to process the emptiness that I am experiencing. What my heart feels cannot be expressed in words. The world lost an icon, but I lost my close friend.
Nippy, I miss you so much!

In related news, X-Factor contestant Stacey Francis recently spoke out on The Dr. Drew of her regarding her publicized run-in with the Whitney at Tru Nightclub just on night before her tragic death. Whitney allegedly had a few altercations with singer Keke Wyatt and Stacey Francis.
Well, Stacey finally decided to speak out about the incident because of all the backlash and threats that she has received from Whitney’s fans. Stacey says that she never had a fight with Whitney but the two did engaged in verbal altercation which she calls a “misunderstanding”. Stacey contends that Ray-J did try to intervene in which he told Whitney that she [Stacey] was “like family” but Whitney had her own thoughts and proceeded to shout profanities towards her and later placing her hands in her face.
Her fans are going to be upset with me… but I’m from the hood-hood, I’m from Brooklyn New York, if it was any regular person in the club, calling me the B-word, and pushing my head way, literally pushing my face..it would’ve been a fight. She [Whitney] moved my face away and I grabbed her by the wrist and said I’m not going to fight you…I love you too much..
