The Help stars won big last night at the Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Award ceremony held last night.
Viola Davis won for Outstanding Performance By A Female Actor In A Leading Role, and her co-star, Octavia Spencer won Best Supporting Actress. Davis beat out Meryl Streep, Tilda Swinton, Glenn Close and Michelle Williams for her prize and the cast of The Help won Outstanding Performance By A Cast In A Motion Picture.
During the cast acceptance speech Davis said:
I just want to say that the stain of racism and sexism is not just for people of color or women; its all of our burden; all of us.
