After 10 1/2 years of marriage, Vanessa Bryant has had enough and has filed for divorce from Kobe Bryant on Friday, Dec. 16th citing “irreconcilable differences”. Rumor has it that Kobe has been ‘unfaithful’ once again and Vanessa is fed up and ready to move on.
TMZ reports that the two have been separate from some time, and Kobe had already moved out of their California mansion he resided with his wife and kids since 2001 months prior.
Things are already looking up for Vanessa. In the event of a divorce, Vanessa gets to keep the the couples home. That was noble of Kobe, allowing his wife and kids to maintain their living standards.
What about other joint assets accrued during their ten year courtship?
Well, Kobe and Vanessa have no PRE-NUP, and according to California law, all things a accrued during the marriage is the ownership of both parties. So you know what that means? Kobe is subjected to split all monies earned with Vanessa.
Sources close to the couple says that Kobe is trying to repair his marriage. From the looks of it, a 4 million dollar ring won’t be cutting it this time around. Hopefully the two can resolve their issues amicably for the sake of their children.
