Sean from Mt.Vernon, this song is for you. Sean emailed us and said he chose this song because the song resembles his lifestyle. Everthing he does, from the time he wakes up to when he goes to bed he is cleaned up.
Popcaan, real name Andre Jay Sutherland is originally from Seaforth, St Thomas, Jamaica.
As a youngster he attended the Happy Grove High School located in Hector’s River, Portland Jamaica where he began to show signs of his love for and desire of wanting to become a dancehall artist. In 2007, he was spotted at a party and asked to join Kartel’s group Portmore Empire.
Sutherland made his debut in 2008, With his smash single “My War”. He gained international success in 2010 with the hit song “Clarks” which also featured his mentor Vybz Kartel. He is also famous for his songs “Dream”,Raving on the Summertim riddim which has been a huge hit and “Gangsters City”. Most of his songs start with his signature catchphrase “wha ah gwaan?” and “not nice”.
