It may be somewhat surprising, but according to the Guinness Book of World Records, Jackson’s films have raked in $7.57 billion through 2010, according to a spokesperson for Guinness. His record’s been in the book since 2007.
Jackson first introduction to the acting scene began after his debut in Spike Lee’s “Jungle Fever,” but it was his role in the 1994 hit movie “Pulp fiction that awarded Jackson as an “A list actor. CNN says: “That film is among Jackson’s top earners at $212 million worldwide, according to BoxOfficeMojo.com. “Jurassic Park” ($914 million), and the “Star Wars” prequel trilogy ($2.4 billion) also made big bucks at the box office”.

Jackson recently wrapped up his broadway play “MLK” starring along side Angela Bassett. When asked what he’d thought of the honor Jackson said:
“I grew up in a working class family,” he told CBS News. “When I was a kid, all the adults in my house got up and went to work every day. I assumed that’s what grown people do. That’s what I do. I just happen to have a very interesting job that’s kind of cool!”
