We all know that Kim Kardashian enjoys the spotlight and most certainly captilizes on her name and her assets but farcing a wedding is a bit extreme.
According to a close source of Kim, Kim and Kris wedding was nothing but a “publicity stunt” to earn money and boy did they earn that and much more. The Kardashians is said to have grossed nearly 18 million; from two part wedding special on E!, wedding photos to new million dollar sponsorships, endorsements deal.

In 2010, E! allegedly began searching New York City for a pro-athlete that Kim could date while filming Kourtney and Kim Take On New York. Their first choices A-Rod and Derek Jeter were already in relationships and due to Kim dating Reggie not too many of the NFL players were willing to give her a shot. So they set their eyes on the fresh young meat of the NBA and asked New York Knicks forward Danilo Gallinari who wanted to meet Kim but was not up for the reality show so he was quickly axed. Eventually their tired eyes came across would be Kris Humphries and the rest is history.
There are so many arranged celebrity hookups its ridiculous, and quite frankly just like Kim many celebs do it for publicity to “get a celebrity acclaim” and to earn money. Kim just top the list and made the most money thus far with this one. What a shame!
