Tamar Braxton Owes Iyanla Vanzant A Public Apology!

Let The Chips Fall Where They May….

Whew Chile, this was one anticipated, explosive and intense episode that we’ve all been waiting to watch based on the dramatic promotions, and to my surprise this whole beef that ensues between Iyanla and Tamar occurs on Wetv’s The Braxton Family Values show instead. What that means plums  – is that Iyanla appeared on their show as a request   to ‘fix their lives’ similar to previous renowned psychologists and pastor Bishop T.D. Jakes who had come before Iyanla.

This seemed to be a last attempt in restoring the faith, hope and love of the Braxton’s that appears to be diminishing in reality for all eyes to see. We’ve seen it recently with the sisters public feud (particularly Tamar) with their sister -Traci Braxton who went on to film and tape the show despite the family protest to opt of their contract.

Tamar took it a step further last month and publicly demonized spiritual wellness coach, Iyanla Vanzant for singling her out and trying to coerce her to speak of her ‘secrets’ by inviting the entire family to take her down on Fix My Life. Now, we see from the episodes that aired, this was a false accusation narrative on Tamar’s part.

Iyanla has been called many things by some of her guests but a DEVIL is a far reach and highly offensive statement to a woman who has more than two decades of experience in helping others. If you’re a fan of the show or Iyanla Vanzant’s affirmation books and memoirs, then you can attest that the one thing Iyanla is firm on when it comes to healing others is OWNING YOUR TRUTH!

No matter what a person is going through or how shameful and secretive it may be for one to express, the first step involves owning ‘our roles’, acknowledging our hurts, and begin the WORK in healing and moving forward in becoming a better version of SELF. This is true of Iyanla who has had her own highs and lows of success and marriage in the public spotlight and that of the Braxton’s who face a similar fate.

Now, the two-part episode did not air the alleged discussion surrounding Tamar’s child-hood molestation so its unfair to judge whether Iyanla broke any commitments and agreements but after review of the released episodes it appears that everyone with the exception of Tamar seems to think that Iyanla’s counseling methods came with good intentions and helped the family.

In the words of Iyanla: Tamar was disruptive, abusive and violent during the entire process, and were not including the head nod, neck and eye roll, and pointing fingers in one’s face like she was speaking to her toddler.

I am all for one being comfortable in their own skin, but Tamar was ‘showing all the way out’ with Ms. Iyanla who remained tolerant of her throughout the process. Industry skilled or not, they’re not too many people who would’ve put up with her after that brattish behavior display.

Tamar’s on air round table apology (which was taped months prior) was certainly heartfelt to her parents, sisters, and Iyanla. But to regurgitate the beef publicly and demonize Iyanla before the episodes airing was a move of pure deception and it demands a public apology. Following the Oct. 4th episode airing Tamar responded with this tweet.

It is rumored that Iyanla and her Fix My Life staff has issued a legal action against Tamar accusing her of defamation of the show’s host, brand and network credibility. Iyanla hasn’t responded publicly but her decision to NOT promote WEtv’ and this particular episode is a sure sign that things are not well behind the scenes.
