New York rapper, Lionel ‘Chinx’ Pickens was gunned down in Briarwood, Queens in the early morning hours of [May 17th], following a drive-by shooting.
According to police, Chinx and another man were driving on Queens Boulevard when a second car approached them at 84th Drive and shot multiple times, striking the two. The 32-year old man was pronounced dead upon arrival, and a second man, 27 is in critical condition at Jamaica Hospital.
Chinx had just performed at a Brooklyn nightclub Saturday night [May 16th] and was reportedly headed to a bar with another man but got there after it was closed. Chinx drove his friend to a nearby station when the deadly encounter took place on Queens Boulevard – reports ABC.

” It is with a heavy heart that The Legion Media Group and 4 Kings Management announce the passing of Lionel ” Chinx” Pickens this morning. He was 31.Few details are available about his passing but his management confirmed his passing this morning. The rapper from Queens, New York was a member of French Montana’s Coke Boys.”

The investigation is still ongoing. However, no arrests have been made thus far.
Chinx leaves behind a wife and two children, [girl, 11 and a boy, 5] , and mother; all of whom were financially supported by the star.
