Caught Up In The Rapture!
Police authorities in Detroit has issued an arrest warrant for Grammy Award winner/singer, Anita Baker Allegedly, Baker has some unsettled debt with Ray Smith Painting and Decorating company. According to the court documents filed, Baker owes R&S $15,ooo for services that were rendered at her Gross Pointe Michigan mansion home.
RSP & DC contends that they have a rightful suit against Baker saying:
” We certainly would have liked to resolve it before now. We just want to try to get my client his money, We’re not trying to give her any hard time or anything unnecessary. We just would like to collect the money for my client. He’s owed the money, and that could end it all right then.”
Meanwhile Baker’s attorney [Jamal Hamood] is saying the contrary. Hamood has asked for a ‘motion to dismiss’ citing that Baker, 56 was not served with any court papers and was not aware that she was sued by the company back in 2011.
Following the media frenzy of this story, Anita Baker has responded to her fans on twitter writing:

Clearly, you can’t believe everything you hear. Anita Baker is currently out of town touring and obviously paying this lawsuit NO-mind, but will be watching.
