ERMIAS: SENT BY GOD
Behind this artist – lies a man, devoted father, family man, and business mogul. Nipsey Hussle, born Ermias Asghedom was more than a rapper and deserves to be commemorated as such. Nipsey’s tragic death occurred less than 24 hours ago outside of his Marathon store; in his childhood neighborhood near Crenshaw Blvd. and Slauson Ave. reportedly just moments after taking pictures with a few community residents.
Nipsey was struck 6 times; five shots to the body and one to head. Two other individuals were wounded, but their names have not been released.
The tragic news struck the hearts of many people who were inspired by Nipsey’s entrepreneur spirit, intellectual growth, and relentless philanthropy works that he submitted in his music and life’s work. A product of poverty, the survival of the fittest code, and gang/ street culture norms, Nipsey was the ‘hussle man’ and ‘hero’ in his hometown city and abroad.
Leaning on his understanding of self-reliancy and economic power, Nipsey chose to reach back and empower others to do the same. After grinding on the mixtape scene for close to a decade, Nipsy reached hip hop success with his 2018 Grammy nominated ‘Victory Lap’ album debut. Nipsey showcased his evolvement and transition from gangland survivor to a hot shot economist.
Nipsey bought out an entire plaza where he opened up a hair shop, clothing store, and consulting firm in L.A. He employed his fellow peers! Nipsey owned his music masters and believed in ‘continuing the marathon’ while establishing ‘black capitalism’.
Nipsey was scheduled to launch more businesses in the Hyde Park South Los Angeles area in the second quarter of this year, and today (April 1) Nipsey alongside his rocnation label affiliates were set to meet with L.A city police officials to discuss combating gang violence and helping kids instead.
Nipsey’s activism and access to knowledge prove to be doing more good than bad, but it also made him a target many suggest. The 33-year-old entertainer was working to release a documentary film about wholistic leader Dr.Sebi. Dr.Sebi was beloved healer and apparent controversial threat to the pharmaceutical companies.
Dr. Sebi was tried before the Supreme Court in (1988) and won his case thanks to his clients (all of whom had willingly testified) and showed proof that they were indeed cure of the AIDS disease they were diagnosed with months and or years prior. Dr.Sebi continued his philanthropy in teaching and healing others via seminars, consultations along w/direct services and treatment at his medical centers in L.A and Honduras.
In recent years, he launched his website drsebi.com where he offered up a nutritional food guide amongst a host of herbs and vitamins for ALL those interested in gaining ‘wellness’ the natural way using ALKALINE (the cure) to rid the body of ACIDITY (the disease). Dr. Sebi died mysteriously in his hometown of Honduras back in April of 2016.
Chronixx said it best:
” We keep executing the conscious voice of Christ when it comes to live with us in our times of struggle and we never allow that consciousness to live past 33. That’s some real anti consciousness / Antichrist vibe. Ethiopian people be wise…think with your heart and your highest intelligence. “Africa must wake up…sleeping sons of Jacob”. We are ONE GANG. The Gang they trying to split up and wipe out. -chronixx “
Despite the conspiracy rumors, the viral videos of a man boastfully claiming responsibility for Nipsey’s death, as a people we must continue the Marathon. As Nipsey said in a recent interview, if he dies because of this documentary – ‘we the people’ must ride for him and the cause ‘aka’ continuing the work.
Our work doesn’t end at an RIP post /caption. Now is not the time to drop the baton out of doubt and fear and quit the race. Like many of our young prophets who left their fingerprints before their untimely death, ‘we the people’ must learn to pick up the BATON and finish the race by any means necessary. The MARATHON must continue….
Our deepest condolences and prayers to Nipsey’s longtime girlfriend / film star – Lauren London, family and loved ones. Nipsey Hussle is survived by his children Emani, and Kross.
One Love PLUMS!
