The-Dream has turned himself into the NYPD earlier this week to face felony, assault, and strangulation charges that were brought from his ex-girlfriend, Lydia Nam. Police issued a warrant for Dream [real name, Terius Nash] in connection to an ‘alleged’ assault that took place last year on April of 2013.
” Dream voluntarily surrender to Midtown North Precint. Dream reps say that ‘he is innocent of the charges filed against him and are confident that when this case is concluded and all the evidence has been reviewed, it will be clear [to the public] that he is innocent. “
According to TMZ, The-Dream was booked on three misdemeanor charges; assault, acting in a manner injurious to a child, and reckless endangerment. The details of his court date is still unknown but the Dream is expected to face a judge in response to these allegations.
” Nam claims the -Dream choked her, hit her, then twisted her arm as she attempted to call 911. She went on to say that The-Dream told her that he would kill her like OJ Simpson did Nicole. ”
Now, there is much speculation around Ms. Nam [the victim in question] who dropped a previous domestic violence -charge that she had against The-Dream last June of 2013. So Why Is Nam bringing this case to light now? The pic above shows the couple in happier times around the time of the ‘alleged’ abuse.
Sigh…. what has come of our celebrities. When will they learn?
Other reports question whether or not Nam [canadian-born] is going forth with these charges as an attempt to extend her VISA status and The-Dream agrees. The singer stating that Nam is currently facing deportation and has concocted this story in order to stay in the US.
