Magic Johnson appeared on Arsenio Hall late night show this week and dished on his reaction to his son admitting that he is a “gay male“. Johnson’s son Earvin III [nickname E.J.] came out a few months ago after TMZ leaked photos of him locking hands with an unknown male. Shortly thereafter, E.J. went on public record an announced that he was “GAY“. Both Johnson and wife Cookie are supportive of their son and very happy that he was well received when after coming out.
Here’s what Magic Johnson told Arsenio Hall [his good friend and godfather of to E.J]:
” The blessing is he came out, about a couple months ago and announced to the world that he’s gay and I just love how the world supported him. Cookie and I love him to death and it was interesting…. You love your son, you love your kids and you want the best for them. And so I was really concerned that he was going to be okay. And Arsenio, four or five TV stations have called that they wanna build shows around him and he’s getting all this incredible support. I wanna thank everybody because you know its was tough for him because he has to make that decision that he wanted to share with the world. so I’m happy for him and Cookie & I couldn’t be more proud of our son. “
