Sean “Diddy” Combs is overly excited about his new partnership with Time Warner Cable /Comcast in upcoming launch of his very own Revolt TV cable network. Hailing from the offices of Cannes, France, Diddy called into the New York’s Hot 97 radio station to talk about the new venture to discuss his gratitude, and what he’d like to offer back to his urban community.
“This is a landmark distribution deal that demonstrates Time Warner Cable’s commitment to bringing a platform for music artists and fans to their subscribers,” stated Revolt TV Founder and Co-Chairman Sean Combs. “It positions Revolt to come out of the gate strong, and we look forward to igniting the passion of initial audiences across the U.S.” With Time Warner Cable’s help nothing is stopping Revolt from becoming the new number one name in music.”
Earlier this morning Diddy issued his launch said:
“I’m here to launch and announce Revolt TV…..This is the third and largest network in history. You know when MTV stop playing our videos – they left a huge gape in the hole and an opportunity for us [“urban folks”] to step into that open space and create a platform for all the new artist of tomorrow, the people that that people don’t take chances on, people that have ultimately creativity, videos that have 7 or 10 minutes.”
Diddy then brings excitement to Ebro Darden [Hot 97’s program director] and goes on to say:
“You know Summer Jam is the biggest hip hop concert in the world and its not covered by one platform. I’m telling you what has been accomplished.I come from Hot 97, I come from Harlem. I am calling in to thank you guys because you all believed in me first and you have inspired me. Now music is turning back to television, and it will be covered in a true journalistic way! We will getting up to date reports. It will be live, it will be on your screens [mobile devices, computer screens and on the ground- ie: newspapers & mags]”
