Def Jam put the brakes on the growing rumors which insisted that Mariah Carey was going to pull a ‘Beyonce‘ and drop a surprise album for fans. The news was first issued via Billboard.com leaving man fans in excitement to see what Carey had planned up her sleeve for the upcoming album.
Well, let’s not jump the broom on this one. Carey’s record label, Def Jam has released a statement stating the contrary.
The new album will include Carey’s singles ‘Beautiful’, ‘The Art Of Letting Go’, and ‘You’re Mine’.
According to Def Jam’s Vice President, Carey’s new album will debut at the end of May and the singer will be issuing a release date to fans along with the title of the album prior to the album release date.
This will be Mariah Carey’s fourteenth studio album.
