Actor, Idris Elba peaked a career milestone with his role in Nelson Mandela’s biopic film Mandela: Long Walk To Freedom. Elba acting skills was nothing short of ‘AMAZING‘ and he recently won a Golden Globe Award for his remarkable deed.
I had the opportunity to see this film with my husband and I was blown away by Elba’s talent in the film. The film shows Mandela’s life journey from his formative years as an attorney who joined the ANC [African National Congress] to end apartheid in South Africa to becoming the first black President of his homeland after spending 27 years in prison.
Elba recently spoke with Hip Hollywood alongside co-star Naomi Harris [who plays Winnie Mandela] where he talked about the Oscars rumors saying.
“If it happens, its’ amazing. It means that the film has been recognized at the highest level in our industry and that’s wicked for a film like this. It’s hard to top a role like this says Elba. I love what I do but its hard to sort of think about what do I do next.”
