Love and Hip Hop New York reality star, Rich Dollaz appeared on the Shamiya and Laila Philly morning show to dish on the drama surrounding the cast members on the new season of Love & Hip Hop. Last season, Dollaz was the main character who was considered the “CREEP” for sleeping with his artist while managing her and his longtime artist Olivia. Well, this year Dollaz finds himself at the turn of a new table. He’s starting his own record label, he’s no longer with Erica Mena [but the two still conduct business together] and his longtime friend/artist Olivia is absent from the show.
In the interview Dollaz says Olivia [pictured above] did not cease the moment to enhance her singing career, while noting that ex-girlfriend Erica Mena is a STAR. Dollaz also talked about his beef with singer K. Michelle.
On Olivia Absence From Love & Hip Hop:
“Olivia was not cool about putting her life on front street for the world to buy into her. Olivia missed the boat in regards to taking advantage of the reality show in regards to how Tamar Braxton, K. Michelle, and Erica Mena did. “
On Why Erica Mena Is A Star:
” People say I’m crazy when I say she is a star but she is booked every Thursday through Sunday and the only reason she isn’t booked for 2014 is because I’m charging you a new price in 2014.”
On His Beef With K. Michelle:
” I’ve known K since she was Jive. I’m really good friends with Memph. Case closed ,thee end. We actually made up throughout the time. “
Sidebar: While Rich makes a few good valid point. ‘Singing Talent’ and ‘Superstardom’ are two separate things. While Mena proves that she has “tv star quality” she has yet to demonstrate that she has the singing talent to become a respected act in the music industry. Meanwhile, Olivia has the talent but she has a ‘guarded’ personality and therefore its harder to draw in the a larger audience because to them it seem less than ‘authentic’.
Dollaz also explained that while he is good friends with co-star Peter Gunz he was shocked to find out about his love triangle between his girlfriend/mother of his two children [of 13 years], and his side chick/artist of one year [who he married] on television. Take a listen below:
