After serving three months in federal prison for three million dollars in unpaid taxes [from 2005 -2007] , music icon Lauryn Hill is released from prison. According to the reports, Hill was released from her jailed facility in Danbury, Connecticut on Friday [Oct 4th]. Hill’s attorney, Nathan Hochman confirmed the news with the media but notes that he has not spoken directly with his client as yet.
Hill plead guilty to the charges last year noting that her failure to pay was not an ‘Act of Avoidance‘ but a means to an end as she had was the SOLE financial provider for her children [a total of six] during that time and was no longer earning her multi-million dollar revenue as a musician during her eleven year hiatus from 2000 up through 2011 .
Hill’s sentencing also requires that she completes three months of ‘home confinement‘ in her South Orange, New Jersey home. Since her release, Hill has unveiled a new song entitled “Consumerism’ and boy doe she go in on the hyprocrisies of our society. Hill delivers speedy rhymes on the track so you must pay close attention. As Hill breaks down all of the isms [athesism, captialism, narcism, satanism, hedonism, catholicism, neptisim , and more] she points out the hidden agenda of the powers that be rapping:
