Picasso Baby!
Jay-Z unveils the visuals to his highly anticipated single “Picasso Baby” and its truly an art in film. Leaping outside the box Jay-Z invite fans into a private studio in NYC where he performed the song LIVE while incorporating “the people” who are the driving inspiration and force behind his music success. As Jay-Z explains in the intro of ten-minute video his mission to unite the world through his music.
“Concerts is pretty much a performance art but the venues change. And just by by nature of the venue the performances change. When you in a smaller venue its a bit more intimate – you can feel the energy of the people. In a large concert all that energy comes to you. So today its kinda of an exchange. We have somewhere to drop it back off.”
” When art started to become part of galleries we came a separation between n culture and even in hop hop people aliken artists to “bourgeoius” we’re artists, were alike, wer’e cousins .And that’s whats exciting for me – bringing the worlds back together. I try not have an expectations when going into a performance I just let it happen and get into the moment and whatever happens – happen. “
